Defined value proposition for future smart homes

Overview

Whilst modern technology at home continues to advance in leaps and bounds, what role will traditional high-street retailers play in the future? The goal was to define DixonsCarphone’s future value proposition. As the creative lead, I took charge of a 3-month process that led to our final recommendation.


My Role

Together with a strategist, we were embedded in the world of DixonsCarphone - where we performed research and co-created solutions through workshops with stakeholders across the organisation, and subsequent refinement with their frontline teams.

Discovery

Key insights revealed that whilst customers were excited by what IOT could offer, there was a wide gap preventing them from crossing over. Our propositions cut across the areas of advice, support and service - enabling less savvy customers to get help, whenever they needed it, whatever it entailed.

Solutions

Live Wiser: Information is key to making connected homes work. This platform enables customers to aggregate the different products they own into one console, so they can understand how they work and how to make the most of their combined capabilities.
